صرح الكاتب الصحفي عبد المحسن سلامة، المرشح لمنصب نقيب الصحفيين، بأن وحدة الصحفيين تمثل كلمة السر في تعزيز قوة النقابة وقدرتها على مواجهة التحديات الراهنة والمستقبلية، بعيدًا عن الاستقطاب والتحزب والشللية.
وخلال لقائه المطول مع صحفيي جريدة الأهرام اليوم، ناقش سلامة العديد من ملفات المهنة والتحديات التي تواجه الجماعة الصحفية، حيث استمع إلى جميع آرائهم واستفساراتهم.
وأكد سلامة على أهمية استعادة العلاقات المهنية وتعزيز ثقة المصادر في الصحفيين الذين ينقلون الأحداث الجارية بمصداقية عالية، مما يسهم في إعادة هيبة مهنة الصحافة.
وشدد عبد المحسن سلامة على التزامه الكامل بضمان حرية الصحافة وحماية حقوق الصحفيين، وعزيمته للعمل بجد لتطوير المهنة والحفاظ عليها وتحسين الأوضاع المالية والمهنية للصحفيين.
وأشار إلى أنه المرشح الوحيد الذي نفذ بعض بنود برنامجه الانتخابي قبل إجراء الانتخابات.
وقد شهدت صالة تحرير جريدة الأهرام اليوم حضورًا كثيفًا للقاء الكاتب الصحفي عبد المحسن سلامة المرشح لمنصب نقيب الصحفيين.
ورحب الجميع بلقائه مؤكدين على أهمية تنفيذ برنامجه الانتخابي الذي يتضمن جميع مطالب وهموم الجماعة الصحفية.
كما أكد عبد المحسن سلامة على ضرورة حضور الجميع والمشاركة في فعاليات الجمعية العمومية واختيار من يمثلهم، مشيرًا إلى أن برنامجه الانتخابي بدأ بالفعل في مرحلة التنفيذ على أرض الواقع، متحدثًا عن تدشين مشروع سكني ضخم يلبي احتياجات الزملاء.
واستعرض برنامجه الانتخابي أمام الحضور، مشيرًا إلى أن مهنة الصحافة تواجه مخاطر وجودية تهدد مستقبلها بشكل حقيقي نتيجة تراكم الأزمات خلال الفترة الماضية، وأبرزها ما يتعلق بأزمة الحريات والأزمات الاقتصادية العامة والخاصة.

قال خلال جولاته الانتخابية الأخيرة ومنذ تقدمه للترشح لمقعد نقيب الصحفيين إنه لمس حجم المعاناة التي يواجهها الزملاء صحفياً واقتصادياً، حيث تحولت أعداد كبيرة منهم إلى طاقات معطلة بلا ضمانات مالية تذكر باستثناء “البدل” الذي لم يعد كافياً لتوفير حياة كريمة لهم، مضيفاً أن الكثير من الصحفيين أصبحوا قريبين من خط الفقر نتيجة تدني الأجور وانخفاض قيمة بدل التكنولوجيا بعد تحرير سعر صرف الجنيه وارتفاع الأسعار إلى مستويات غير مسبوقة تستدعي التدخل السريع لتوفير الحد الأدنى الكريم للحياة الاقتصادية لهم خلال المرحلة المقبلة.

وأكد سلامة في برنامجه أن شعار “عاشت وحدة الصحفيين” هو كلمة السر لقوة النقابة وقدرتها على مواجهة التحديات الحالية والمستقبلية بعيداً عن الاستقطاب والتحزب والشللية التي أدت إلى الوضع غير المقبول الذي يعاني منه الصحفيون الآن، مضيفاً آن الأوان لإعادة لم شملهم وإحياء مبدأ نقيب النقباء كامل زهيرى: “اخلع رداءك الحزبى عند باب النقابة من أجل وحدة الصحفيين”، وأن تكون النقابة للجميع بعيداً عن الشائعات والأكاذيب ومحاولات شق الصف لمصلحة مجموعة معينة أو تيار بعينه.

وتابع قائلاً: أؤكد احترامي للجميع من كل التيارات وتاريخى النقابي يشهد بذلك حينما كنت وكيلاً أول للنقابة وكذلك حينما كنت نقيباً للصحفيين، ومن هنا فإنني أؤكد مد الجسور مع جميع الزملاء دون استثناء بما يخدم الجمعية العمومية ومصالحها العليا ومصالح الأعضاء المهنية والنقابية والاقتصادية.
وأضاف: ومن هذا المنطلق أطرح عليكم برنامجي للفترة القادمة والذي أتعهد بالالتزام به وتنفيذه إن شاء الله.

الحرية هي قلب المهنة ولا صحافة بدون حرية؛ لذا يجب رفع سقف المناخ العام لتمكين الإعلام من أداء دوره الرقابي والتوعوي وذلك كما يلي: أولاً: تنقية القوانين الحالية من أي مواد سالبة للحريات فيما يتعلق بقضايا الرأي والنشر.
ثانياً: تمكين الزميلات والزملاء من العمل بحرية في تغطية الأحداث والتصوير بالأماكن العامة دون قيود وإزالة العقبات التي تحول دون ذلك.
ثالثاً: العمل على إصدار قانون حرية تداول المعلومات بالتعاون مع البرلمان (مجلس الشيوخ والنواب) باعتبار هذا القانون مكمل للدستور وضمان حق الإعلاميين في الحصول على المعلومات.
رابعاً: ضرورة إطلاق سراح الزميلات والزملاء المقيدة حرياتهم ممن هم محبوسون بسبب قضايا خلال الفترة القليلة المقبلة وتسخير كافة أدوات النقابة لتحقيق ذلك بالإضافة لدعم الزملاء المتهمين في قضايا الرأي والنشر بحيث تتحمل النقابة تكاليف الدفاع عنهم.

No freedom for journalists in deteriorating economic conditions; therefore, it is essential to work vigorously to achieve a qualitative economic shift for colleagues on the ground away from slogans and bidding. I pledge to provide a comprehensive economic program aimed at raising the standard of living for journalists and their families during the upcoming phase which includes:.

– First, an unprecedented increase in the “allowance” that aligns with the tough economic conditions we all face, aiming to meet part of the justified aspirations of colleagues’ living standards, serving as a starting point for further successive increases thereafter – God willing – with pension increases matching this value.

– Second, allocating 20 thousand acres of agricultural land for colleagues as a fortress and support for them and their families ensuring a secure future for their dependents, similar to the successful agricultural project obtained by colleague Abdel Aziz Khater from Dar Al-Tahrir which remains a testament to its importance for many journalists and their families.

– Third, providing the largest housing project in the history of the Journalists’ Syndicate through allocating sufficient numbers of residential units in several new cities across Cairo, Giza, and other governorates to meet their needs while facilitating access to decent housing units alongside providing plots of land for journalists catering to various segments.
– Fourth, increasing unemployment benefits in idle newspapers from 1250 pounds to 1750 pounds as well as increasing allowances allocated for people with disabilities by the same amount while addressing insurance issues related to colleagues in suspended newspapers.
– Fifth, disbursing technology allowances for colleagues working in foreign newspapers and agencies just like other colleagues do.
– Sixth, working towards separating allowances from national press institutions so they can be disbursed through the Journalists’ Syndicate similar to those in private or partisan institutions ensuring interests are met while ending disputes regarding whether these allowances are subject to taxes or not.

I aim to develop the training institute into an academic institution specialized in journalism and media under the Supreme Council of Private and Community Universities offering master’s degrees and doctorates in journalism and media for all interested parties. If this idea succeeds, it will become a significant source of income for the syndicate while also being developed according to modern scientific standards making it a primary tool in qualifying and training journalist colleagues raising their academic levels along with practical skills needed to face current challenges facing journalism today.

The hospital project stands as a dream come true for journalists and their families. This aspiration began during my previous two terms (2017-2019) when plot number (9) located within service center A at October Gardens was allocated by syndicate authorities intending on establishing this hospital. I will immediately follow up on procedures concerning land allocation financial standing along with any obligations tied thereto while simultaneously initiating necessary contacts required promptly obtaining licenses needed along with liaising with potential donors who have shown preliminary approval towards constructing this hospital akin what occurred within training & technology institutes on seventh floor. After completing construction efforts set forth management board comprising Naji’s position shall preside over operations economically ensuring returns primarily serve treatment requirements among journalists whereas medical administration would be entrusted specialists akin existing hospitals operated by various unions such as agriculturalists – teachers & practitioners or establishments like Arab Contractors – railways – electricity… etc).
